Sopiago Springs is a great place to hang out and play and is well centered to not only some great dirt riding but also some awesome road riding! I have created a "Scouting Trip Report" on PAshnit to help you find the place. Includes GPS info. Like Andy said, it is close to PiPi as well as Elkins Flat. This is in the Eldorado National Forest and has portions of the Gold Note Trail System running thru it. More on the Gold Note trails ---> HERE.
The place is pretty cool... awesome track if you like big jumps and burly hill sections. The track has a lot of similarities to Glen Helen when gong through the tree sections. Andy you would love the place! Time for you to make the road trip to at least check it out, I know at least one person that will be up here to meet you and go play with you. At lot of single track and logging roads for those who dont wish to take on the track. Location: 26 miles east of Jackson on 88 just after the Dew Drop Grade, 0.8 miles northwest on Omo Ranch Road (left turn) and 5.9 miles north on North/South Road (right turn) and take a right at the sign that says PiPi campground.. drive to the end of the road and go through the gates when you see the signs of Sopiago. Does anyone know if there is a place to go swimming at Sopiago after a day of riding? A contact phone#, web site address and pricing might be nice to know as well.
