So when, not if, I drop the 500 and the bars take a blow, the lower perches bust out of their mounts....

The thinness of the "guide" or the set stops, what ever their called just can't take the torque what with the extended risers...

Is there a steel or bridged option the will give me the needed rise AND work with the Scotts dampener

I wonder if I could make you a quick & dirty replacement. A block with a hole, some edges.

Going along with Bob and Alan, changing to bars with "lots" of rise makes more sense to me than stacking a sack of Legos up to get the reach one needs. The '60's and '70's Bultaco Matador and others used a style of handlebar that made perfect sense as well as providing greater range of adjustment than standard bars, I expected that style to become more popular.

    Tall bars or Legos blocks...
Both will still torque on the weak guides on the bottom perches.

Stock up on them while you learn how to ride. Consider it a consumable. At $23.77 a pair.

    Or stop dropping the bike....

If you're busting them, then others are too, meaning there must be a CNC version being made 3rd party!
