    This is Ed.
    ed.jpg

Ed has lived off the Panoche Road in the southern, rural area of San Benito County on his families cattle ranch since 1968. Ed's dad past away a few years ago, and now Ed runs the ranch all by himself which covers several thousand acres throughout the Panoche and Paicines Valleys. No kids, just his wife and mother are the only ones left of their family.

Ed is one of those fellas that I've met while out on one of my adventure rides, and over time we've become good friends. Yesterday, I helped Ed run some new wire along a stretch of his property and Ed has always said that I ask a lot of questions about the history of the area. Ed said one of these day's he would get me a copy of a article he had by one of the local ranchers named Paul McKenna. Paul's recollection of the past history in the area was given to me yesterday, and is some 26 pages long.

    I've scanned up to pg10....

Most EPIC, mr apex. A year is long enough. Gotta see it for myself again soon. The steepest place I've ever seen.

Pretty amazing historical document without a single Asbestos related death mentioned throughout Paul McKenna's article spanning the last one hundred years.

The folks on the Summit Ranch, and Spanish Cattle Ranch have also been very helpful.
