Going down the rocky sections was much easier than going up the way the LABV course was routed. You probably would have struggled a bit riding up it with the big orange pig, especially in the dark where you would not have been able to see all the line options. Doable, but probably a wise choice for you to bail at that point.

Like you skipped across the sand wash on your windshield? :lol

Looks like a fun adventure. Good job persevering. I want to do the ride back sometime. 500 miles in 2 days just isn't enough. :ride I remember one year the trail through Redrock Canyon was snowed in. Very few were able to make it, I think the only reason I was able to, was because I was running the 150/90 Teraflex rear tire. Regular dual sport tires got zero traction in the icy snow. Last year I had multiple mechanical break downs and had to bail. That was the first time I didn't finish. It ain't an easy ride but it sure is a fun one. :thumbup

Our navigator pointing out the full Moon which would really come in handy the next night.

Luckett met these really weird people out on the dry lake the night before - they were tell us there is some really good riding up on Clark Mt. [snow topped] We left there camp just as the sun was going down - it was surreal riding out near the dry lake as the sun was setting - incredible. You would have to do it in I-Max to get the idea.

it was a ton of riders very crowded it was very easy to get spread out miles from each other.

Todd, I would say Luckett is right at night. I don't think you could see the good line and that would make it a hard ride.

Dave, :eek :wtf :yell :bash :ibeenripp
